Crochetting Beads: DIY for Beginners

I would like to share with you a DIY on how to make crocheted beads. They are very simple, but look great.

Materials

  1. Iris thread of any 3 colours.
  2. 3 wooden beads (2 cm in diameter).
  3. Leather cord (2 mm in diameter) — 40 cm
  4. Carbine locket — 1 piece
  5. Joining rings — 2 pcs
  6. Jewelry cap — spring 3 x 7 mm – 2 pcs
  7. Half-round nose pliers
  8. Hook 1.25

The Key

CH — chain

DС — double crochet

Cast on 2 CH, crochet 6 DC into the second loop from the hook — this is Row 1. Then make increases in each row:

Row 2 12сбн

Row 3 — 18 DC

Row 4 — 4 DC

Row 5 — 30 DC

Rows 6-15 — 30 DC (mark the beginning of Row 6 with a thread to count the number of rows later)

Put the almost ready cap on the bead. And start making even decreases (two loops are crocheted as one)

Row 16 — 24 DC

Row 17 — 18 CH

Row 18 — 12 CH

Row 19 — 6 CH

The remaining hole is sewn up carefully, the thread is removed. The other two beads are crocheted likewise.

Cut off 40 cm of cord to assemle all together.

Fix the spring jewelry cap and sqeez it with the pliers — from both ends. Add the joining rings + the locket + join the rings = the beads are ready!
