Embroidering A Sparrow Brooch in 40 Minutes

If you are missing something in your casual looks and have very little time for craft but still love it, then this DIY is for you.

1. You need:

  • fabric of average density
  • colour threads
  • polyester batting
  • beads
  • cardboard
  • faux leather
  • pin

2. Find a bird of your dream on the Internet, print and cut ot out.

3. Outline it on fabric in two copies. Sew the two pieces together leaving a hole to stuff the bird with polyester batting.

4. I started embroidery with the eyes.

5. Next embroider the neck with white threads and beads. Or use any other colour.

6. To add volume, mix black and white, grey and white threads, and so on. Remember to add beads.

7. Cut out feathers and soak with transparent varnish, I used a nail polish.

8. Sew along the edge. And continue embroidering the feathers.

9. Then outline and cut out a bird from cardboard.

10. Apply the pin.

11. Do the same with faux leather.

12. Assemble, glue.

13. The edge of the faux leather is treated with grey thread.

14. All is ready!
