Wonderful Art Nouveau Embroidery by Ann Macbeth

Ann Macbeth (1875 - 1948) was a Scottish artist and embroiderer working in the art Nouveau style, she was a member of artistic group Glasgow Girls. Born in Bolton, she studied at the Glasgow School of Art since 1911 and became the head of the Department of Embroidery. She was an author of five books on embroidery. Some works adorn the Cathedral in Glasgow, and the collection of Ann Macbeth is kept in the Church of St. Patrick in Patterdale where she spent her last years.
