Assembling an African Clock in the Fusing Technique

For the manufacture of the clock, you need the following tools and materials:

1. Spectrum 96 glass.

2. Glass cutter.

3. Cutters.

4. Chipper.

5. Glue Moment Crystal.

6. Glass drill.

7. Drill.

8. Frit.

9. Frit hammer.

10. Oven for fusing.

Take background light glass, make the markout and find the middle, drill a hole for the clockwork pouring water at the same time and cut some blankpieces for the pattern. It will be a little mosaic pannel.

All the pieces are glued. Make a mosaic frame, quite spontaneously, the most important here is the colours you use — they should match the idea and with each other.

Add numbers, and then make a sketch of African women.

Cut pieces of glass for them. Glue to the base.

Frits may be of different factions. They are sold or you can make them yourself.

Sometimes I need tiny frits and make them on my own with a frit hammer and sieve.

Pour them where you want.

Now baking, it takes almost a day, the size of the watch is large and, therefore, you take risk when open the oven too early.

And admire the result! :)
