The author does not claim originality due to the lack of such concept on the cosmic scale.

For making such a simple thing, the number of materials you need is little:

- cardboard with thickness 1.5-1.7 mm; when cutting, make allowances of 3-4 mm from three sides but for the top — and it is better to cut for 4-5 sets with a box cutter.

- a cutting mat or something unnecessary — put it under the cardboard you work with

Smoothen the sharp corners.

- any cover material for the cover: leatherette, felt, cotton (it needs fleece)

Prepare two pieces of the material, add 2 cm to each of four sides, mark the lines.

Apply and check if all looks accurate.

Mark new diagonal lines at the corners:

Repeat this line at 2-4 mm closer to the corner.

When you understanding how much should be cut off from each corner, do not hesitate to cut. Glue the cuts.

If you chose leatherette, felt or a dense material, glue it with PVA glue.

Apply glue with a very thin layer, help with a spatula.

Next, apply the cardboard exactly on the lines and press.

Now, glue the allowances.

Apply some glue to the corners.

Finish with the last side.

And glue a beautiful paper, it is 3-4 mm smaller. Glue the edges.

And it's time for a hole puncher. Before you start, practice on a sheet of paper of the same size. When making holes, make no mistakes.

Insert eyelets. Use a special tool or your hands, hammer and imagination to fix them. Hammer a bolt to bend the edges.

And punch sheets for the notebook. Be careful and accurate.
