This happened one sunny morning when the Muse came. I had a plan to decorate my work with a holder for a cabochon and the stone — which was missing!

Cut a cardboard oval.

Cut out an oval cloth.

Sew it around the edge.

Glue a small piece of batting on the cardboard.

Assemble all, tighten the thread. Fix the edges with glue.

Glue the brooch into the center.
