Debra Rappoport — An American Hatter

Today I want to tell you about a wonderful woman — Debra Rappaport. This is just on the topic of age, aging and other nonsense that we, women, love refering to :)
And Debra is just one of the few women who prove that a woman becomes only better with each year.

"When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you look good" is the motto of Debra. A former school teacher from California, she is now the heroine of a documentary directed by Lina Plioplyte and a model of photographer Ari Seth Cohen, who made his life's aim documenting elegant old ladies.

In addition to her modeling career, Debra is a designer of hats. She finds a piece of any cloth and makes an unimaginable hat of it.

It is impossible to simply go down the street and pass by her. People necessarily want to take picture with her. Debra does it very gracefully, subtly, as it should be. A pretty cool lady, but absolutely inimitable.

Debra loves mixing things up. She is not concerned with any particular style and is inspired by completely different designers: Rick Owens, Issey Miyaki and Rei Kawakubo.

But the main source of inspiration of Debra is her mother, who was very creative, energetic and resourceful.

Selection of clothes is a kind of meditation for Debra, it starts each new day: "Your image is not an operation on brains, so you can always make changes."

Love yourself at any age!

Yours,

Sviteroff :)
