DIY Project: Educational Poster for Little Artists

I bring to your attention a tutorial on creating a poster to explore the names of colors and shades with your child. After all, there are tourmaline, pervenche colours....

My daughter Ulyana loves drawing and I bought a pink frame NITYA at IKEA and paper. Then I cut out circles of colored cards. Here is how a group of blue colours looks like:

Use Wikipedia's "List of colors", there are all sorts of "asparagus", "amaranth", "arsenic", "gamboge"!)))

I decided to place the cirlces in groups - by red, yellow, etc.:

Then put the names of the groups and of each color:

I also decided to draw a small table of mixing colors and used watercolour for that:

Allow the paint to dry, insert into frame and hang our poster in a convenient location. I hung it over the table:

Ulyana liked this idea very much :)

And now a few useful ideas. On this poster you can draw more options for color mixing or to make actually a separate poster:

For older kids, add different watercolor techniques:

That's all! Help your kids develop the imagination and give them the freedom of creativity! ;-):-)
