Amazing Items: Buttons

Today I wanted to talk about buttons: beautiful, unique, interesting, handmade, created with love and imagination. The first fastener that resembled a button appeared about the 3rd millennium BC. A real button with two holes for sewing was found in the Indus valley on archeological dig. In Europe, buttons were very popular, they were made from gold, silver, precious stones. In Japan, where any object (or almost any :) is turned into a work of art, buttons gradually transformed into netsuke. Japanese "netsuke" means "button".

When I looked through my collection of button images from the Internet, I thought that nowadays this thing is a collectible, and a subject of application one's creative imagination, and just a beautiful, probably handmade thing for everyday pleasing use.

Now I want to share my collection. Maybe some ideas will inspire you to create your own personal collection of unique buttons.

Enjoy your creativity!
