Cute DIY Mammoth Baby in the Technique of Dry Felting

The toy is made in a simple and unobtrusive way and looks so sweet!
So here we go!

You need:

- wool, 2 colours

- coarse needle No. 36, thin needle No. 38* and a needle with a reverse tooth

- darker wool to lay inside to get an interesting smoky effect at the edges

Felt a teardrop-shaped blank of a fluffed piece of wool. The needle is stuck deeply, the wool should be tight inside.

Remember to leave wool unfelted at the junction with the head. The workpiece should not be too thick.

Make the head the same way.

Join the parts.

Wrap the blank with white wool.

The colour inside should show through.

Carefully felt the whole blank. Leave loose surface where necessary.

For the legs, take two equal parts of wool and felt them holding between the fingers in a spiral.

Leave the junction loose.

Shape the surface.

Felt one paw...

...and the second.

Felt another pair of paws.

Get 2 blanks.

Then make the trunk.

Make the necessary curves when felting.

Felt the trunk to the head.

Make hollows and apply the eyes. Glue them.

Make the cheecks.

The ears.

Paint blush, shade the eyes, the inner part of the ears. Use pastel crayons or cosmetics.

Make a little tail.

And now felt the back, elbows and other parts of the cute mammoth baby with the needle trying to pick out the pink threads from the inside.

The baby is ready!

It wishes you good luck and success! :)
