Building a DIY Hut without Axe! A Tent for Children to Play

Right, without an axe!

So, take:

1. Hardwood timbers with a section of 2x4 cm - 4 pcs.

2. Wooden stick with a diameter 2 cm - 3 pcs.

3. Wood saw.

4. Feather drill-bit 20 mm.

5. Power drill.

6. Sewing machine.

7. Scissors, thread, ties, etc.

8. And your fancy :)

Start! Give each child own house!

So, take 4 timbers, saw the required length, I chose 175 cm.

Do the same with the sticks, they are shorter, I sawed 150 cm:

Now drill round holes for the sticks.

Make the marks:

Step back a distance of 24 cm from one end (the top) and 7 cm from another (a leg).

You need such drill fro that:

The top:

The legs:

Assemble the framework of the hut. First the top, it should look like this:

At the end:

You can start sewing the tent. I took my favorite flax and cotton:

Fold flax at the bottom and fix with pins. Start from one side, then throw over the stick and move to another side:

Smooth it all out according to the rules, cut off the pieces of fabric you need and stitch on the machine. Leave enough space for the sticks in the folds. All is almost ready!

You can decorate the tent using torn pieces of cotton of 9 x 18 and 9 x 9 cm.

You get a "brick" house:

To get rid of wrinkles, fix the fabric with ties at the sides:

And to fix the legs, tie them to the wall installing hooks:

And one final piece:

A good house always rooms someone:

It is time to test our hut!
