Sewing a Charming Mini Purse with a Clasp

I love miniature things. They are not always convenient for everyday use and bring a spark of beauty and celebration :)

You need:

1. Rectangular clasp, width 8.5 cm.

2. Main and lining fabric.

3. Fusible webbing.

Step 1. Print out the pattern. Check if its 1 cm corresponds to the real one. The arrow on the pattern indicates the direction of warp threads. Cut out two pieces of the main and lining fabric. Transfer marks A, A1, C, C1 to all details. Duplicate all details with fusible webbing.

Step 2. Stitch the bottom of the main fabric and iron the allowances on both sides. See that C1 marks on both parts match.

Step 3. Stitch from points A to A1 and iron the allowances.

Step 4. Stitch the corner seams.

See that the side and bottom seams match.

Repeat steps 1-4 for the lining.

Step 5. Turn the lining outside in.

Insert the detail of the base. See that A, A1 and C coincide.

Stitch the details along the upper edge from A to A1. Leave a hole for turning.

Step 6. Cut off the allowances with shaped shears at 1 mm from the stitch or cut them with scissors where they round. Don't touch the hole.

Step 7. Turn the purse outside in. Carefully spread the allowances inside. Pin and remove the allowances.

Stitch the top at 1 mm from the edge.

Step 8. Determine the middle of the top edges of the purse. Fold the purse in half, connecting A and A1. Mark the middle of the edges on both sides.

Determine the middle of the clasp counting the number of its holes.

Combine the centres on the clasp and wallet.

Start to sew from the centre to edges.

When you reach the last hole, sew in the opposite direction.

And come back to the centre.

Step 9. When you get to the starting point, pull the needle in the neighbouring stitch.

And pull the thread in the loop.

Tighten the knot under the clasp. Cut the thread.

The purse is ready! Thank you for your attention :)
