DIY Steampunk Bracelet of an Ordinary Zipper
  • Category: DIYs
  • Practices: Weaving

Take a zipper of 100 cm. Divide it into 2 halves (unzip).

Leave only metal pieces, cut off the excess and scorch along the whole cut edge with a lighter.

Then take the 2 parts, turn them roughly approximately in half and begin to make a Macrame knot — see the photo (sorry don't know how the knot is called):

The knot is ready:

The same node on the example of two cords

Next start moving the ends of the zipper so that the middle tapes were shorter then the others (see the photo).

The middle part is the length of the bracelet (or rather its half).

And begin to weave like Shambhala bracelets. See the photos:

As soon as I reach the end, cut off the pull, the ends are scorched with the lighter. Fix a finding.

Recall that the opposite side is rounded.

So apply the bracelet on your hand, find a place where the two ends of the bracelet will be joined and cut off the 2 middle tapes, 2 other tapes are long — will be used for weaving — the opposite side

Continue weaving the opposite side the same way.

Perfect this side of the bracelet, too. Fix the second part of the fastener (I have magnetic) aaaand the bracelet is ready!

I hope everything is clear) I think this bracelet is unisex, suitable for everyone!)
