How to Easily Make Dyed Wooden Beads

Such beads are easy to make and don't require many materials, they can be monochrome or coloured, with or without a pattern, mixed with other beads, for example, knitted, etc. There are many options, just use your imagination :)

This DIY is suitable for children, it is simple and the result is cute :)

So, you need:

  • wooden beads, better without varnish
  • narrow tape
  • brush
  • acrylic paint — one colour or more
  • thread, braid or cord
  • decorative beads if you wish

;

Now, gently wrap the tape exactly across the middle of each bead, which is extremely difficult. It is possible not only across, but also along :)

Now paint the remaining free halves of the beads. Before, one can primed the surface with white paint. I painted with two layers of one colour.

For convenience, put the beads on cotton swabs, if necessary remove a bit of cotton if they do not fit the hole. For drying, I stuck the sticks into foam.

My idea was that the beads are painted, so when they dried, I took a thinner brush and painted patterns different for each bead. When the paint is dry, remove the tape.

Now the last thing left is only to assemble them on the thread (or anything) and decorate with glass beads. Simple tand nice beads turned out.
