Once I had a stool ladder from IKEA. I painted it black. But then I decided to age it :)

Materials and tools:
- stool ladder
- water based paint (black and blue)
- sandpaper (small and large)
- candle
- knife

To begin with, I wiped the stool from dust with a damp cloth. Then I degreased with alcohol (acetone). Then rubbed the entire ladder with fine sandpaper. There are nice gaps of the previous paint.

Then again rubbed the ladder from the dust.

Now started to age. Rub the edges and corners with a candle.

Rub thoroughly to remove the paint you wiil apply easily.

After that, to remove the excess of wax with a dry cloth. And begin to paint. Do not take much. Leave stains.

Now the stool should dry.

And the most interesting :)

Take sandpaper with large grit, and start rubbing.

But then I realized that sandpaper is not enough for me, and I took a knife. It is faster.

But the main thing — to stop in time :)

Then wipe with a damp cloth and let it have a rest on the balcony.
