Today I want to share with you one technique of assembling a very unusual chain of factory-made chains that are in stock of any enthusiastic craftsman.

So, you need

- flat chain with links of 2 cm in diameter, just like you see in the photo below

- two chains with round links of diameters of 1.0 and 1.2 cm

- joining rings, clasps

- tools

Take the large chain and detatch the links.

Leave them open.

You need about 37 pieces.

Then take the small chain.

And also divide them into links. But here close the links. Prepare 13 large and

13 small links.

Then take one big open link and put one small on it.

And then one link from the larger chain.

Close the big link.

Now take another big link and put it into the two small as shown in the photo.

Then again.

Follow the picture.

Then again.

Continue so to collect more.

You need to collect 14 large links.

Please note that the small links are located from one side, and the larger links from another.

Then the second stage begins. To make it all clearer, I assembled the chain with silver links.

Now start making the second 'layer'. Take the largest element and put it in the middle link of the base as shown in the photo. Don't touch small links. Go on working with links of middle size only.

Then pass a larg link throught the next link of middle size.

Close the link.

Here's what should be.

Take the next link and put it through the middle link, as shown in the photo.

Then pass through the next middle link.

Close.

Continue to assemble more.

And assemble up to the end. One layer should cover the second.

And again, I continue the chain with links of a different colour, this time it's black. So, next we work only with one layer. Pass a new link through the first link of the second row.

Pass the link through the next link of the upper layer, as in the photo.

From the top down.

Close the link. Two links of the base are connected.

Next combine the following two links.

In total there will be 6 connecting links.

Now turn the base.

And work the other side of the base.

Do everything as before.

Please note that there will be only 5 connecting links.

It was a sample. But this is how the chain looks.

It is left to attach small chains and clasps.

Well, the chain is ready!

It is good in itself But it can be decorated with beads :) I designed it like that.
