How to insert an grommet in a leather item with a lining.

I offer to your attention a tutorial on how to insert and use grommets. Hope it will be useful to someone.

Besides the item itself, you need:

- grommet

- glue (Moment or rubber)

- punch

- hammer

- fine bent screw driver

I took two pieces as samples— of leather and lining:

Determine the location and coat both parts with glue:

Let it dry a little bit and stick together (this is done in order to save lining from farying and the parts from shifting), punch with a hammer and punch: the hole must be equal to the inner diameter of the grommet. Or a couple of mm more:

Next, untwist the screws and divide the grommet into two parts:

Install the upper smooth detail on the right side of the item:

Cut out corners for the screws:

Install and fasten the lower part:
