Today we are making beams.
Prepared polyurethane foam pieces were not good enough, as their size is limited, and the longer ones are made to order. In the end I decided to do it myself :)
I bought a plain cutoff board.
Smoothed the sharp corners with a cutter and made grooves for built-in backlight.
Let's go to burn!!! Take a gas-cylinder and burner. Process to blackness: soft fibers burn out, hard onoes are left. Right what you need!
Now grind all with a rotary brush to reveal the texture.
Next, paint.
First apply the base colour to match the ceiling and the expected door.
Stretch brown paint and wipe it off with a cloth so that the paint remained only in the recesses.
Varnish, glue the led strip and mount on the ceiling :)
You can also imitate a wooden surface with putty and textured spatula. Apply some putty on the box of gypsum plasterboard. Make a texture, tone with several shades of stain and paint. Varnish.
