Decoupage for 3 Hours: Creating a Mini Tray Sprig of Lavender

Today I'm inspired by turquoise colours of Collection No. 5 decoupage cards. Forget about vintage and rustic, about prim ladies and lace. Our motive has all it requires.

We will make a stylish piece for a modern interior. This tutorial is for those who love bright things causing emotions.

Prepare

- decoupage card

- blank (furniture board)

- primer

- paint

- stain

- varnish

- handles for a tray

Prime the workpiece with one thin layer in the center. Dry it properly.

Tone the remaining side parts with the water-based stain.

Make a classic decoupage on the white surface using professional glue.

Dry the glued motif and sandpaper the excess on the edges of the workpiece.
Lavender, turquoise, wood shades create the desired mood and capture true emotions :)

Prepare for the most interesting stage — painting.

Paint the background over the stain with dry brushes.

Create authentic sweet shabbies.

Using a stencil, add a few graphic elements.

Cover the backside with the stain.
Dry the item and cover with a suitable varnish in several layers.

Fasten the findings, I had handles in the shape of spoons.

The mini tray is ready! Magic in a few minutes :)

Now pour flavoured tea and enjoying the new favourite thing!
