DIY on How to Dry Felt a Strawberry

It's summer, it's time for berries! This tutorial will be interesting for beginners and professionals. I'll show you how to make a berry of strawberry in the technique of dry felting. If you continue felting, you can make a lot of berries and create such a bunch.

1. For work you need:

- carded wool of desired colours

- wool mouline

- copper wire

- 38 star needle for felting

- scissors

- hard felted mat for felting

- cardboard

- stationary knife

- sewing needle

- Moment glue

- pliers

- cutting pliers

2. Prepare wool for felting berries and the needle.

3. Make a ball of red wool. Figured the size I needed.

4. Felt the shape of a strawberry with the needle.

5. The result: a tough blank of a berry.

6. Now aoolied a bit of green wool onto the tip of the berry.

7. The result.

8. Tore off a tiny piece of white carded wool and felted it with the needle. This is a future highlight on the berry.

9. The result.

10. In order make the highlight more expressive, roll a piece of white carded wool in hands and felt this drop to the center of the highlight.

11. This is what came out!

12. Now make the seeds on the berry. I embroidered with wool mouline.

13. Cut the right piece of the thread.

14. Gently embroider the entire surface of the berry.

15. The result.

16. To make the sepals, cut out such stars of cardboard. The size is different, for larger and smaller berries. Use green carded wool.

17. Tear off a small piece of wool.

18. Twirl one of the ends of the strand to give it the shape of a triangle.

19. Then treat the edges of the triangle with the needle for better clarity.

20. The result of the work.

21. The scallops are ready.

22. Now put them in the pattern one by one and felt them together.

23. After the scallops are laid out and felted, such a star comes out. Remove it from the mat and felt with the needle once again.

24. Treat the edges of the stars with the needle tangentially to make the element tighter.

25. Cut the wire with wire cutters to shape the stem. The length depends only on your ideas.

26. Needle the wire and clamp it with the pliers so that it was a continuation of the needle. It is important to smooth the tip, otherwise you just won't be able to stretch the wire through the berry.

27. Apply the sepal to the top of the berry and pierce it through with the needle helping with the pliers.

28. Now pull the needle back from the top of the berry.

29. Align the wire ends and twist them. The main thing is not to overdo it! If you overtwist the wire, it will just break.

30. Felt the sepal to the berry.

31. To wind the stem, take these.

32. Carefully apply a drop of glue to the base of the berry.

33. Wait for the glue to dry a little, and stick the wool mouline to it.

34. Carefully wind it covering the wire, move down the stem and fix the end of the thread with glue.

35. The result is such berries)
