Sweet Stamps with Your Own Hands

A small tutorial on how to make your own stamp from an eraser. It can be your logo, signature or just a picture. A great way to make your package recognizable. It's better to start with simple images with a minimum number of corners.

I chose a cupcake as a pattern because I made the stamp in the contexst of a sweets marathon No Day Without Creativity.

You need:
- eraser, preferably of rubber or something softer
- pencil and a ballpoint pen
- nail scissors
- the thing from a manicure set for deburring
- sheet of paper

Outline the eraser on a sheet of paper to limit the size of the pattern.

Now draw an image on the paper inside the outlined space.

Outline the drawing with the pen and apply the eraser to it to imprint the image. Draw it out on the eraser. Actually, you could draw the picture right on the eraser, but it's better to use this method for letters.

Next, take... what is it called? Well, the stick for deburring. And slowly carve the drawing. Chop everything except the lines. This process is long and meditative. Cut until the image of the cupcakes will not be 2 - 2.5 mm higher than the rest of the surface. Use scissors when necessary.

When all is done, wash the stamp to remove the chips and ink.

Try to make a print. See if anything extra is printed. If printed, perfect the edge a little, gently deepening the background. Carefully refine the corners.

Finally you get it!
Wish you good luck!
