DIY Project: Panel of Herbs

Spring has firmly come. The snow has almost melted away, there is green grass somewhere, birds are comming back. But it is still cold, the days are dark and grey. And so I want warmth and spring beauty, bright colours, pleasing the eye.

A look around and you'll see the countless number of colours and light around!

See all in a different way!

Gather a bouquet in a wood!

For the work, you need

- reed (of any size)

- special knife (bralnitsa in Russian)

- shuttle for weft yarn

- thin cotton thread

- coarse thread for the weft

Always pleasant to open the little box with the tools :)

I chose reed with 20 teeth (for 39 threads). Tucked his thread with 100% Lily cotton.

Align the thread tension.

And start working! For the weft yarn, I took the coarse thread. You can buy it at a hardware or household shop. The weft yarn is good to be alternate with herbs, although you can do without it.

Use the knife to hold the throat while laying the herbs there. Press the 'linen' with the reed so that it was not loose.

Select colours and alternate with the coarse weft thread.

And here is the result! :) Happy Spring to you, friends!
